SESAME SEEDS : Sesame seeds are the most exported agricultural produce after cotton with Asia being the leading market for Burkina Faso.

Farmers in Burkina Faso begin sowing at the beginning of July during the rainy season. They are then harvested towards October right after the plants turn yellow. They are harvested and dried for a few weeks. The seeds are then separated.

MANGOES :  Mango represents about 50% of the fruit production in Burkina Faso. Kent and Keitt are the two most exported varieties.

The subtropical climate makes Banfora in Burkina Faso an ideal place for growing mangoes. The companies grow the fruit mainly for the export of fresh mangoes. Only the best mangoes that meet all quality requirements and with the right taste, color and shape are selected for export.
